Spellbook Substance Painter
This spellbook was a revised version of a previously created Photoshop design using Substance Painter. I started with the cover giving it a scaly design as the original and created a sandy grainy texture on top to make it seem as if it was dug up.
For the spine, I added designs that would work with the Nordic theme I was aiming for. The old weathered-down pages appear more realistic than the Photoshop original. Lastly, the gemstones were given a glistening shine to bring the flair up on the spellbook. This was made for a medieval game level that can be discovered and picked up as a quest item.
